Porsche recalls around 200,000 vehicles spanning two decades old

Porsche has recalled approximately 193,000 units of its SUVs and cars which includes variants of the Macan, Panamera, Cayenne and Cayman models. Interestingly, most of the models recalled are older models that have been produced in early 2000s.

Porsche USA has recalled approximately 193,000 vehicles in total covering four models that were released between 2003 and 2020. The models have been recalled over a missing headlight part that doesn’t inhibit its functions, thus making it easy to misalign them which results in visibility issues for drivers and other traffic.
The headlights on models that include, Cayman S, Panamera, Cayenne and Macan crossover SUVs are supposed to equip a “horizontal adjustment screw cap”. This cap is designed to prevent tweaking the low beam’s alignment beyond the acceptable, legal range.
The cars recalled do not have this cap, thus making it possible for owners or mechanics to reposition the low beams too far to the left or right, which will fail to properly light the path ahead and blind oncoming motorists.
Although the recall covers a wide range of Porsche models built over several generations, crucially not all of them are included. For example, the earliest vehicle that has been issued a recall is the 2003 Cayenne, however, some variants of the SUV through 2016 are also included. The Cayman S is also on the list, but only models manufactured in 2014 have been recalled. Check out the full list below:
