Sai Pallavi issues clarification on Kashmiri genocide remark

Actress Sai Pallavi, in a recent interview voiced her opinion on cow vigilantism and human genocide, which did not sit well with the masses. The actress, who was promoting her film Virata Parvam with Rana Daggubati, in an interview with a media channel expressed that the Kashmir Pandits genocide and cow vigilantism are not different.
Her comments sparked an uproar and many Hindutva supporters started claiming that the actress is trivialising the exodus of Kashmiri Pandit's from the valley. Subsequently, a police case was filed against the actress in Hyderabad's Sultan Bazar police station. A petitioner submitted a complaint showing his/her objection Sai Pallavi's statement. However, no formal case was filed.
Earlier today, the actress took to social media to issue a clarification. She posted a clip alongside a caption that read, "Here is my clarification! I wish you all happiness, peace and love!"
In the clip, the actress was seen saying, “This is the first time I am getting in touch with you all to clarify something. I will be thinking twice before I speak my heart because I am anxious my words might be misinterpreted.”
Sai then went on to reveal that in a recent interview she was asked if she was Left wing or Right wing. The actress revealed she remembers saying she believes she is neutral and that one needs to be a good human being first and that the oppressed need to be protected at any cost.
She even revealed that after watching The Kashmir Files, she spoke to the director (Vivek Agnihotri) of the film and told him that she was disturbed after watching the plight of people.
She further said, "I believe that violence in any form and violence in the name of any religion is a huge sin. This is all that I intended to say. But, it was disturbing to see that many people online justified the mob-lynching incident. I don't think any of us have the right to take another's person life."
The actress went on to recall her school days and stated that as children they would never differentiate each other based on culture, caste, or religion. She also stated, "I would like to take this opportunity and thank the people who stood by me in the last few days."
