Less than 24 hours after Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan produced a performance of a lifetime to guide Pakistan to a 10-wicket while chasing a total of 200, Pakistan and England will face other in the third T20I of the ongoing seven-match series on Friday (September 23) at the National Stadium in Karachi.
The teams go into Friday's clash with the series evenly poised at 1-1. England won the series opener by a comfortable margin of six wickets and looked set to take a 2-0 lead after posting a massive total on 199 in the second T20I. However, Babar and Rizwan produced an unbeaten partnership of 200 to help the Men in Green level the series.
Putting a run of poor form behind him, Pakistan skipper Babar scored his second T20I ton and stayed unbeaten till the end. Before Babar got into the groove, Rizwan gave the hosts a quick start and played a sensational knock of 88 in just 51 balls.
Stand-in skipper Moeen Ali had scored a quick-fire knock of 55 in just 23 balls earlier in the game. In the series opener, Alex Hales marked his comeback to the national team after a three-year hiatus with a gritty half-century.
