Lucknow: A woman attacked a man with a blade after he started beating her husband outside Joggers Park in the city.

Lucknow: A viral video from the Joggers Park in Uttar Pradesh's capital showed a woman attacking a man with a blade. The altercation started with a verbal spat between two men, identified as Raja and Chotu, over the drinking of alcohol in the latter's tea shop.

The incident took place in Dubagga area of Lucknow where Chotu runs a tea shop along with his wife Sunita Saxena. The couple allege that Raja came from a nearby liquor shop and sat in their tea shop. Soon after, he started consuming alcohol inside their shop to which they objected.

According to a report in Bhaskar, Raja started beating Chotu after an argument and seeing her husband being attacked, Sunita took out a blade and attacked Raja. This resulted in Raja sustaining injuries and he started bleeding profusely.

Locals alerted the police about the ruckus being created outside the popular spot and on seeing them approach, Sunita slashed her own hands and started shouting that she was attacked. She tried to raise a hue and cry about how she was going to be murdered by Raja but locals said all three were party to the entire incident.

Police then took all three of them to the Dubagga Police Station where they told the parties to either come to a compromise or face jail time. However, the video of the incident went viral in the meantime and all three were sent for a medical check-up. Further action will be taken after the medical report is obtained by the police.
