Viral video shows how planes refuel mid-air without having to land

Viral video | Cockpit footage captures a military plane, F-18 refuelling mid-air. Aerial refuelling, also known as in-flight refuelling, is very much a thing but not used in commercial planes. One of the two ways of doing it involves a rigid tube called a “flying boom” to connect two aircraft. A designated pilot operating a dedicated refuelling aircraft of the US Air Force, the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker, directs this boom into a small opening on the recipient aircrafts and pumps the fuel.
