A Texas man who raps about robbing ATMs has been arrested for stealing cash from an ATM in Tennessee.
Ladesion Riley, 30, was one of four people charged for allegedly holding up an ATM technician who was servicing a machine at a Bank of America in Nashville on Monday.
Riley recently shared a music video called "Make it Home" in which he rapped about frequently robbing ATMs out of state. He sang about having thousands of dollars in a vehicle and praying to avoid the chase and make it to home.
According to the authorities, four people approached an ATM technician from behind "told him to not do anything stupid and to hand over the money." They took the cash and fled in vehicles.
Nashville Police, Dickson Police, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Violent Crimes Task Force arrested the four individuals later that day. Authorities were able to recover the stolen cash, however, the amount has not been disclosed.
The rapper was mocked by the Houston Police Union in a Facebook post. "IRONY: When you make a rap song called “Make It Home”, about bank jugging and hitting atm’s out of state, and then don’t make it home to Houston…" the union said.
All four suspects are expected to face federal charges, police said.
The FBI is looking into whether the suspects have committed robberies in other parts of the country.
