Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who was once known for his aversion to "daal, chaawal for life" is now a family man. The Sanju star got married to girlfriend Alia Bhatt on April 14, 2022, after dating her for more than five years. They had an intimate wedding ceremony at Ranbir's Vastu residence.

On Friday, Ranbir Kapoor launched the trailer of his much-awaited film Shamshera at an event in Mumbai. During the launch, he mentioned his gorgeous wife Alia Bhatt. Talking about his future plans, Ranbir said, "Abhi mujhe bahot kaam karna hai sir. Abhi mujhe family banani hai, unke liye kaam karna hai. Pehle mai khudke liye kaam karraha tha. Nahi nahi, abhi mai bahot kaam karunga."

During his interaction with the media, Ranbir also spoke about his famous dialogue from YJHD - "Shaadi is dal chawal for pachaas saal till you die; arre life mein thoda bahut keema pav, tangdi kabab, hakka noodle bhi hona chahiye nah?"
"I always said that we need tangdi kebab, and not dal chawal in life. But with experience, I can say that nothing better than Dal Chawal. Alia is the tadka in dal chawal, the achar with it, she is everything and I could not have asked for a better partner in my life," he said in Hindi.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Shamshera. It is slated to hit the theatres on July 22. Helmed by Karan Malhotra, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia's much-awaited film Brahmastra Part One: Shiva will release in theatres 45 days after Shamshera. It is scheduled for a September 9, 2022 release.
