Fresh from their historic 3-0 whitewash against England in the ODI series, the Indian women's cricket team began their campaign in the 2022 Women's Asia Cup on Saturday (October 1) at the Sylhet International Stadium. Coming into the 2022 edition, the Women in Blue have won six of the seven editions so far.

In fact after seeing the visuals both batters and the fielding team were confident it was not-out and were in position to resume play for the next delivery before third-umpire gave it out.
The decision has been widely criticised on social media with many struggling to understand it. Among them is legendary Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh who called it a 'poor decision.' "That’ is such a poor decision by the third umpire ! Should have given pooja vastrakar benefit of doubt !!," wrote Yuvraj on Twitter.
