Made-In-India Light Combat Helicopters Inducted | Bid To Increase IAF Efficiency: Rajnath Singh

In the latest updates, the Indian Air Force is on Monday set inducted the first batch of Light Combat Helicopters or LCHs. The LCH has been indigenously developed by state-run aerospace firm Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL). Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has described the induction of LCH as a “big boost” to the combat prowess of the Indian Air Force. The chopper is being inducted into the IAF at a function in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Rajnath Singh and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari are attending the ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) had in March this year cleared the proposal to procure 15 Limited Series Production (LSP) LCH for Rs 3,887 crore.
