The popular family quiz show, Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 just witnessed its first ever crorepati! Ever since it went on air, the show has garnered an abundance of love and praise from the audience for its engaging conversations between the host and the contestants.
On September 19, at Kaun Banega Crorepati, contestant Kavita Chawla, who is a housewife scripted history by becoming the first crorepati of this season and bagged Rs 1 crore.
When she won the cash prize of Rs 1 crore, Big B asked her the next question, but she was confused about the answer and decided to quit the KBC14 show. Well, you must be wondering what is the question that made Kavita quit. Fret not, we got you sorted!
The question reads, 'Gundappa Vishwanath, the first Indian to score a double century on first-class debut, achieved that feat against which team?' The options were - a) Services, b) Andhra, c) Maharashtra, and d) Saurashtra.
After hearing the question, Kavita was not sure and decided to end the game. However, before leaving the show, she tried to attempt the question and selected option a) Services, which was the wrong answer. The correct one was b) Andhra.
During the game, when the Goodbye actor asked her what she would do with the prize money, the contestant quipped that she will send this money to her son, who is abroad for further studies. She also plans to build her own bungalow and travel the world if she wins Rs 7.5 crores.
Meanwhile, at Kaun Banega Crorepati, Kavita shared a couple of interesting anecdotes about her life and how she dreamt of being on this show in front of superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
In a recent conversation, she told Times Of India, "One of the reasons I did that was to be on KBC. Right from the year 2000, I wanted to be part of the show. Last year too, I came on the show but only reached the fastest finger round."
The participant further added, "This year, I have fulfilled my dream by reaching this point. Whenever I used to make my son study, I would learn along with him."
