A Swiggy delivery driver working barefoot has gone viral on Linkedin.
LinkedIn user Tariq Khan shared how he met a Swiggy delivery guy in an elevator. Khan spotted that the delivery guy was barefoot and enquired about it.
The delivery driver told him that he had an accident that day and his foot and ankle were swollen. When Khan advised him that he should have been taking rest, the delivery driver said that he had to feed his family.
Khan wrote, "Just now I met a Swiggy delivery agent who was barefoot with me in the elevator. I asked him why he wasn't wearing the shoes? He said he met with an accident today and had a swollen foot and ankle. I responded "then you should be resting and not working." He smiled and said "I have a family to feed." He stepped out of the lift and said "Have a Good Evening Sir"."
Khan added, "It's people like him that inspire me to work hard and push myself when it's necessary."
"On a separate note, I hope Swiggy rewards and acknowledges the hard work of this man," he said.
While many were inspired by the delivery guy's dedication, others pointed out how he had to work even with an injury.
