In relation to the controversial 2017 death of a Hindu boy named Paresh Mesta, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a report with the local court in Karnataka asserting that the death was accidental and filing a closure report. Meanwhile, the Karnataka case sparks a political blame game. The incident happened when the Congress-led government of opposition leader Siddaramaiah was in office.
