Biographical drama Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, actor R Madhavan's ambitious project, hit the theatres across the world on July 2. The movie, which gathered appreciation after being premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, is successfully running in cinemas. It has received positive reviews from the audience and even celebrities, including superstar Rajinikanth.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect marks the directorial debut of popular actor R Madhavan. The movie which traces the life of Indian scientist Nambi Narayanan -- a former ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer who was accused of espionage- stars Madhavan in the titular role. He has also bankrolled and written the film.

While positive word of mouth is helping the film mint money at the box office, some fans have been waiting for Rocketry: The Nambi Effect to release on a streaming platform. Just like big-budget films such as RRR, Gangubai Kathiawadi and more, people also expected the R Madhavan-led movie to head to an OTT giant. However, the actor has set the record straight.

Reacting to one of the many reviews on Twitter, a user asked, "Madhavan sir, are you planning to release it on OTT for lazy bums like me?" In a short and clear reply, he said, "Nope not now."

R Madhavan's tweet has only added to the fans' excitement. A user wrote, "Release it later, as many audiences need to watch this Extraordinary #RocketryTheNambiEffect in Theatres." Another commented, "Then I have to watch it by Wednesday."

The biographical drama was shot in multiple languages simultaneously including Hindi, Tamil and English. It also stars superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya in cameo roles.
