Gujarat: After unsuccessful suicide attempt in Sabarmati, woman hangs self over failed love affair

Vadodara: A case of suicide of a girl named Nafisa has come to light in Vadodara. Saddened by the betrayal of her lover, Nafisa committed suicide by hanging herself in the house on June 20. Now her last video has surfaced from Nafisa's mobile in which she tried to take a plunge into the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad.

In fact, like infamous Ayesha’s suicide case in the city, Nafisa had tried to commit suicide by jumping into the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, but she could not do so due to the crowd around and came back to Vadodara and hanged herself in the house. During this she recorded her last video, reported TOI.

In the video, Nafisa spoke, “Rameez, you have done very bad things to me, very bad. You kept fooling me by saying yes to marriage. But you didn’t come, isn’t it wrong, isn't it? Very wrong, should not have done this.”

“I loved you the most in my life, and you did this to me. cheated. I thought you were different, but you are also like everyone else. There is no difference between you and everyone else. Even after the whole world came to know, you did not hold my hand. You are very bad, I don't understand. Your family members say that we have no contact with him. But, I saw you there just yesterday. Your clothes were drying there. I have been wandering here for you for four days. I'm looking for you. I didn't even tell the police. What shall I say?” Nafisa said in the video.

Nafisa was in love with one Sheikh Rameez Ahmed, who had promised to marry her and their families also knew about it. However, Nafis ghosted her over the past few months. She even went to Ahmedabad to meet him but to no avail.

Frustrated by this, Nafisa committed suicide in Vadodara.
