Earlier in the day, Kohli also replied to Babar Azam's message of support for him. After India's 100-run defeat to England at Lord's on Thursday (July 14) in which the former Indian captain was dismissed for a low score of 16, Babar took to Twitter and wrote 'This too shall pass. Stay strong. '
On Saturday evening, Kohli acknowledged the post and took the internet by storm with an inspiring reply. 'Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best," he wrote.
Kohli has struggled for form in recent times and not scored a cenutry in international cricket in the post-COVID era. He will hope to end a horror tour of England on a positive note when the Men in Blue face the hosts in the ODI series decider in Manchester on Sunday (July 17).
