As per the latest news on Mirror Now, Supreme Court grants regular bail to activist Varavara Rao after 2 years in jail in connection with Bhima Koregaon case. The court ordered that Rao did not leave the jurisdiction of the relevant trial court without the trial court's consent, that he not abuse his liberty, and that he not contact any witnesses. The Supreme Court rules that Rao is entitled to the medical care of his choosing and must keep the NIA informed of any such treatment. The Supreme Court makes it plain that bail is exclusively granted for medical reasons, and that this judgment has no bearing on the cases of the other defendants."UAPA is not an ordinary law. There arrests driven by political consideration," says Activist Zakia Soman.
