Ahmedabad: As part of his campaign ahead of the Assembly Elections likely to take place in December, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal will visit Gujarat for two days starting Saturday.
In a statement issued by the Gujarat AAP, Kejriwal will hold a town hall meeting with traders and shopkeepers of Jamnagar this afternoon.
"On Sunday, the AAP chief will address a public rally in Bodeli town in tribal-dominated Chhotaudepur district. He will also announce another guarantee for the people of the state, which the party will implement after coming to power," according to Friday's release, although it did not specify what this guarantee would be.
Kejriwal had earlier announced that his party would provide free power till 300 units and a monthly unemployment allowance for the youth of the state during his earlier visits.
During a rally at Veraval in Gujarat's Gir Somnath district on August 1, Kejriwal assured employment to the youth if his party is elected.
In his address, he criticised the Gujarat government for the recent deaths caused by spurious liquor.
"I came to know that the Chief Minister of Gujarat has not yet gone to meet them. They believe that it will not affect the vote bank. In everything, there is no vote... the life of a person is important," Kejriwal had said.
He had added: "I asked one of the patients from where he got the alcohol. He said that in every village and city if you want it, it is also delivered at home... those who want their children to drink poison should vote for BJP, and those who want education and employment for their children should vote for AAP."
In July, he addressed a rally in Surat and promised to provide free electricity.
