Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor has recently opened up about the rise of boycott trends, stating that the only way to deal with such naysayers is to be united as an industry. Turns out, the actor's opinion has not been taken too kindly by netizens.
For the unversed, the boycott turned began with Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan, translating to the yet to be released Hrithik Roshan starrer Vikram Vedha.
Now, Arjun, during an interaction said, "I think we made a mistake by being silent about it and that was our decency but people have started taking advantage of that. I think we made a mistake by thinking that our work will speak for ourselves. You know you don't always need to get your hand dirty but I guess we tolerated it a lot and now people have made this a habit. We need to come together and do something about it because what people write about us or the hashtags that trend, are far away from reality." The comments have not gone down well with a section of netizens.

Reacting to his words, one person wrote, "Arjun Kapoor can say anything and get away with it because no one watches his movies anyway." A second person hilariously commented, "Arjun Kapoor is angry with the boycott culture and wants to give it back to the audience. In response he has decided to quit acting. No movie no boycott." A third person commented, "Arjun Kapoor wants Bollywood to unite against boycotts is such selfless gesture. Boycott doesn't make any impact to his career anyway because he has no career whatsoever."
Here's how others reacted:

Meanwhile, during the interaction Arjun Kapoor called the cancer culture as 'unfair' adding that earlier the audience used to be excited about new releases, which has changed for the worse. The actor stated, "On Friday morning, the spark in people, the euphoria for a new film, the excitement in people, and the shine of the industry is coming down."
