Chris Hemsworth starrer Thor: Love and Thunder, the 29th film in the MCU released on July 7 in India to mostly housefull shows. The film which sees the return of Natalie Portman to the MCU is Chris' fourth outing as a solo lead in the MCU - the first of any superhero from the stable.

According to film producer and trade analyst Girish Johar, Thor: Love and Thunder has raked in Rs 66 crore across all languages over the weekend. Coming in at a distant second is Prithviraj Sukumaran's Kaduva which earned makers Rs 12 crore. Vidyut Jammwal starrer Khuda Haafiz 2 earned Rs 6 crore, while Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo finally shows signs of slowing down as they raked in Rs 4 crore at ticket windows.

Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the God of Thunder in the Taika Waititi-directorial Thor: Love and Thunder. Natalie Portman reprises her role as Jane Foster in this film, this time taking on the mantle of the Mighty Thor too. The Guardians of the Galaxy also make an appearance, along with actor Tessa Thompson reprising her role as Valkyrie.
Meanwhile the second highest earner Kaduva already landed in trouble for a scene that featured Kaduva, played by Prithviraj, saying that differently-abled children are born with their conditions due to the sins of their parents.
