The Army's zonal recruiting officer in Jalandhar has informed the Punjab government that the recruitment rallies in the state, under the short-term Agnipath program, may either be "kept in abeyance" or relocated to neighboring states, citing "vacillating" support from the local civil administration. "We are forced to bring to your kind attention that helps from local civil administration is vacillating with no clear-cut guarantees," he wrote in his letter. They typically blame their shortcomings on a lack of guidance from Chandigarh's state administration or a lack of resources. The civil administration is also anticipated to set up emergency medical support, including an ambulance and a medical officer with a team. "Usually process entirely autonomous from the army's side, CM still in favor of state support to recruitment drives", says AAP Spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang on the sparse Agniveer recruitment controversy in Punjab.#aagniveer #aapvsbjp #punjabnews
