BJP hates Muslims, wants to destroy India's social fabric: Asaduddin Owaisi on BJP MLA's comments on Prophet Muhammad

Hyderabad: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday hit out at the BJP after one of its MLAs made controversial comments against Prophet Muhammad and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to react on it if he doesn't support the MLA's views.
While speaking to media, Owaisi said, "I condemn the comments made by BJP MLA. BJP doesn't want to see that there is peace in Hyderabad. BJP hates Prophet Muhammad and Muslims. They want to destroy the social fabric of India."
Earlier today, Telangana BJP MLA Raja Singh was arrested by Hyderabad Police after he released a video criticising stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui, who recently performed in the city. He was also purportedly seen making 'derogatory' comments against Prophet Muhammad and Islam.
Reacting to it, Owaisi said, "Fight with us politically but not like this. If PM Modi and BJP don't support these comments then they should react."
The AIMIM chief also condemned the slogans of 'Sar Tan Se Juda' raised by a large group of people against Raja Singh
"I also condemn the slogans (Sar Tan Se Juda) that were raised and will say to those people to not take law in their hands," he said.
According to police, complaints were filed against Singh in several police stations under South, East and West Zones. Dabeerpur Police Inspector G Koteswar Raos said they received a complaint against Singh, which alleged that the BJP MLA made derogatory remarks against a religion.
An FIR was booked against Singh under various sections of IPC pertaining to promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs and criminal intimidation among others, he said.
