ISRO YUVIKA 2022: Around 1 lakh registrations recorded for ISRO Training programme

Around 1 lakh students has registered for the ISRO YUVIKA 2022 training programme. From these one lakh registrations, ISRO selected 150 students from all states and union territories of India on the basis of their merit, academic scores and excellence in co-curricular activities. One lakh registration reciveed for ISRO YUVIKA 2022

ISRO YUVIKA 2022 registrations began in March 2022, since then, around 1 lakh students have registered for the residential training programme offered by the Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO.
As per an official statement from the organisation, one lakh registrations have been recorded for ISRO YUVIKA 2022. ISRO YUVIKA is being conducted for the registered students from May 16, 2022 and will conclude on May 28, 2022.
From the one lakh registrations, ISRO has selected 150 students for the residential training programme. These 150 students will take part in the ISRO YUVIKA 2022 till May 28, 2022. As per ISRO, these 150 final students were selected from all the states and union territories of India.
These students were also selected on the basis of academic scores and achievements in co-curricular activities.
ISRO YUVIKA or the YUva VIgyani KAryakram, training has been organised at the five centres of the space organisation. These centres are Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, U R Rao Satellite Centre, Bengaluru, Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad, National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad, and North Eastern Space Applications Centre, Shillong.
ISRO YUVIKA training would include classroom lectures, hands on activities, interaction with scientists at ISRO, lab visits, sky gazing activities, robotic assembly and 'Cansat' experiments.
Students would also be taken to the SDSC SHAR - Srikharikota, the spaceport of India under ISOR YUVIKA 2022 training programme, At the spaceport, students would be interacting with the ISRO Chairman, S Somanath.
ISRO YUVIKA is a programme which aims at creating awareness about the merging trends in science and technology amongst the youth, who as per ISRO are the future building blocks of the nation.
