Big Blow for Pak based drug syndicate: Narco cash stash to fund terror seized by J&K Police in Udhampur

Udhampur: A drug syndicate operating from Pakistan received big jolt today when Jammu and Kashmir Police seized narcotics cash stash amounting Rs. 2 crore rupees clandestinely kept inside vehicle by narco smugglers.
Besides this 250 grams of heroine was also recovered from the vehcible in Udhampur district.
According to sources, last night at about 10:30 pm, a patrolling party of J&K police saw two persons moving suspiciously in Gole Mela area of Udhampur district.
On seeing police party both of them ran towards the main road.
However, one of them was knocked down by unknown vehicle while he was running towards the main road. The injured person was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital where was declared dead on arrival.
The deceased narcotics smuggler has been identified as Mukhtiar Ahmed of Prada Tangdhar in Kupwara district of North Kashmir.
His other accomplice identified as Jagtar Singh of Pakhopur village in Taran Taran area of Punjab was however, nabbed by police.
And after thorough search of his vehicle, 250 gm of heroine and huge cash amounting Rs 1,91, 34030 of different denominations were recovered.
A case has been registered under relevant sections and investigation has been set into motion to find out main mastermind behind this drug racket.
Preliminary investigation reveals that both the persons were involved in the narcotics trade. However, detail investigation of the case is going on.
It appears that drug were pumped from across the border. And whatever money generated following sale of drugs was meant to fund terror.
