R Madhavan claims ISRO used 'Hindu calendar' to launch rocket in space

Actor R Madhavan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. However, the actor is currently trending for a very different reason. The actor has reportedly said that the reason why the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was able to successfully launch a rocket into space for its Mars mission was that it used the Hindu calendar or the Panchang.
For the unversed, R Madhavan's Rocketry is an upcoming Indian biographical drama film based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation, who was falsely accused of espionage. The film, slated for release on July 1 has Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya in guest appearances as well.
Now a video has been shared on Twitter where the actor is seen saying it was the Panchang that helped the Indian space body successfully launch the rocket into space.

Carnatic musician TM Krishna provided translations to what was being said. ""Indian rockets did not have the three engines (solid, liquid and cryogenic) that helps western rockets propel themselves into Mars' orbit. Since India lacked this... used information in the Panchang," Krishna tweeted.

He added, "It has the celestial map with all information on the various planets, their gravitation pulls, sun's flares deflection etc, all calculated perfectly 1000's of years ago and hence the micro-second the launch was calculated using this panchangam info."
"The rocket was launched, it went around the earth, moon and Jupiter's moon and ricochet like a play thing and put into Mar's orbit," Krishna translated.
Since then Madhavan has been facing a lot of social media backlash. One person wrote, "Madhavan is the South Indian version of Akshay Kumar," while a second tweeted, "R.Madhavan has officially become a whatsapp uncle from a chocolate boy."

"Science is not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s ok not to know Science. But it’s better to keep your…mouth shut when you’ve no idea as to how things actually work; instead of quoting some WhatsApp stuff and making a mockery of yourself,” tweeted another user.
Madhavan's directorial debut captures the spy scandal surrounding Nambi Narayanan. The film also features Phyllis Logan, Vincent Riotta and Ron Donachie.
