The Grease fame was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 post which she underwent partial mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. Cancer relapsed in 2013 and then in 2017.

Characterised by lumps and the formation of a tumour in the breast tissue, it can affect both men and women – however, the prevalence is higher among the latter.
