New Delhi: After cancelling his visit to India last month due to Covid-19, Israel Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's other proposed visit to the country remains a doubt yet again.
According to Israel's Ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, PM Bennett's visit to India will depend on the political and security situation in the Mediterranean nation.
"It was cancelled as he contracted COVID. We're working on it. Really depends also on the political and security situation in Israel, both less stable these days but I hope the situation will be stable and visit will come soon," Naor Gilon told media.
When asked about the tentative days of Bennett's visit to India, Gilon refrained from speculating and said he did not want to guess.
"I thought the visit is already... we were finalised, everything was ready, both from the Indian hosting side and our embassy side. And unfortunately, three days before the visit, everything cancelled. So, you know, I would... prefer not to predict and fail again," he added.
It should be noted that Naor Gilon also serves as Israel's Ambassador to Bhutan and Sri Lanka as well.

The visit was also to be Bennet's first visit to India after taking oath as the country's Prime Minister. However, due to instability and ongoing tensions in Jerusalem and Palestine regions, his second visit to the country remains a doubt.
