A while ago, the trailer of Prithviraj grabbed eyeballs for its epic cinematic experience. The Akshay Kumar-starrer is based on the life and valour of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan. The actor is essaying the role of the legendary warrior who fought to protect India's freedom from the merciless invader Muhammad of Ghor.
The film is set to map Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan's valour against merciless invaders and plunderers of India. In fact, ahead of the film's release the makers are planning to organise a special screening of the epic drama for Home Minister Amit Shah.
The special screening of the epic retelling of the last Hindu king for the Union Minister is set to take place on June 1. The director of the film, Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, confirmed this development. He told Hindustan Times, "Yes, this is accurate information. It is our honour that the Honourable Home Minister of our country, Shri Amit Shah ji is going to witness the epic saga on the glorious life of one of Bharatmata’s bravest sons, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, who sacrificed his life for the country."
Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who is best known for directing the television epic Chanakya and the critically acclaimed film Pinjar, has helmed this project after extensive research on Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan's life.
Former Miss World Manushi Chhillar will mark her debut with the movie as she will play the role of King Prithviraj’s beloved Sanyogita. The film is set to release on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Earlier, Manushi had opened up about her role and said that she had to brush up on her dancing skills for the film. Besides this, she revealed that she learn several skills like archery and horse-riding and stated that the preparation for the visual spectacle was "long and intense".
