Teams from the State Disaster Response Force, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and the Nehra Institute of Mountaineering arrived at Advance Base Camp to rescue NIM Uttarkashi students who were trapped by an avalanche on Draupadi's Danda Parvat 2 peak. SDRF Commandant Manikant Mishra told that the three teams will first arrive at the Intermediate Camp and then 1.5 km away at the avalanche site tomorrow to rescue 26 trainees and four bodies stranded there. For the rescue mission, the Indian Air Force dispatched two helicopters from Sarsawa and Bareilly. Several mountaineers were evacuated from Base Camp at 12,000 feet to the Matli helipad. A day after four mountaineers were killed in an avalanche in Uttarkashi, numerous others still missing.#uttarakhandnews #IAF #englishnews
