On Wednesday, the makers of Shamshera unveiled a brand-new song, after the premiere of the Shamshera trailer. Ranbir Kapoor appears in the song Ji Huzoor donning a rather amusing disguise. Aditya Narayan and Shadab Faridi both contribute vocals to the song's performance. Mithoon, who also wrote the song's lyrics, is also responsible for its composition, arrangement, and production.
In the song, we get to watch Ranbir as one of his characters, Balli, dancing passionately while having a lot of fun and bonding with kids. Interestingly, Ranbir will play two roles in the movie. One role is the intense Shamshera, in which the actor will be seen with a full beard and long hair, and the other is the amusing, eccentric Balli.
We catch a peek of both of these people in the Shamshera trailer. The trailer showed all three of the lead actors, Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor, in previously unseen avatars.
Without Karan's guidance and assurance, Ranbir acknowledged during the release of the movie's trailer, that he might not have been able to pull off Shamshera. He continued by saying that when working on Shamshera, there was emotional hardship in addition to physical stress. “The emotions were up there. I was talking to God and saying, ‘I am working hard. Give it back to me’. I went through those days and I am glad I did. Without a director like Karan, I would not have been able to do this (role),” he concluded.
The Karan Malhotra- directorial will release in theatres on July 22. The story takes place in the fictional city of Kaza, where a cruel dictator Daroga Shudh Singh, played by Sanjay Dutt, imprisons, enslaves, and tortures a warrior tribe. This is the tale of a guy who was sold into slavery, who later rose to become the and legend among his community.
Shamshera, an Aditya Chopra-produced film, will release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
