Why Did The Modi Government Banned PFI? | How Will It Impact Internal Security? | Inside

In this episode of Inside, Deepak Bopanna will be discussing the Inside Story of the Banning of the Popular Front of India. Because of its suspected ties to funding for terrorism, the central government outlawed the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its factions for five years. The NIA and ED conducted many raids on PFI and its members around the nation before the government made its judgment. In the first wave of raids, 106 PFI members were taken into custody. Meanwhile, during the second round of raids, 247 PFI members were captured or detained. Many states like UP, Karnataka, and Gujarat have demanded action against it as its involvement grows rapidly. "This PFI organization chanted 'Pakistan Sindabad' slogans. They have no right to chant such slogans. State action had to be taken against them. The decision by the government is right", says Eknath Shinde, Maharashtra CM. 'PFI is an anti-National, anti-constitutional, and anti-human violent organization. Banning this organization was the right thing to do. Banning RSS and linking it with PFI is unconstitutional', says Indresh Kumar, PFI.
