Popular host and actor Maniesh Paul is super busy these days promoting his upcoming film Jugjugg Jeeyo. The comedy drama, directed by Raj Mehta stars Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, apart from Maniesh Paul and is scheduled for release on June 24.
In the film Maniesh plays the role of Gurpreet, Kiara's brother and Varun's best friend who does not believe in marriage. According to the actor he is playing one of the most chilled characters in the film. However, apart from being an actor, Maniesh is also one of the most sought-after hosts in the country and as such has anchored several shows across the country. Despite a hectic pre-release schedule, Maniesh took out some time out to talk to us and share, as a performer, the thing that worries him, after KK's untimely death.
In an exclusive interaction with Zoom Digital, Maniesh weighed in on whether organisers need to up their game, following KK's untimely death. The actor states, "After KK's demise I started rethinking how many times have I seen an ambulance on the sets? How many times have I seen a doctor on the set?”

The anchor and actor goes on to add, “That is something I started rethinking. Now a lot of actors will put it in their contract that we need to have full-fledged ambulance on sets.”
“The kind of energy levels and anxiety we have, adrenaline we have on sets and on stage, you never know what can happen. We need to be well equipped. I feel if these things are lacking there might be more incidents like KK. We really need to learn from this,” Maniesh opines.
For the unversed, popular Bollywood playback singer KK aka Krishnakumar Kunnath died of a heart attack on May 31, 2022, just shortly after giving a live performance at Kolkata. He was 53 years old. He fell unwell while performing at a concert at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata.
Talking about his upcoming film, Maniesh states that he believes JJJ is a very complicated script since all the actors are tied to each other. However, the actor goes on to add that the shoot itself was easy as everyone put in their hundred percent.
"Usually, ADs give the cues. But from Anil Kapoor to Neetu Ma'am to Varun everyone, we all would make sure that the cues are going nice so that the other actors performance enhances in Jugjugg Jeeyo," Maniesh signs off.
