An extraordinary story caught on camera shows an Aussie fisherman coming face-to-face with a giant crocodile. The man vs beast moment took place at Cahills Crossing in Kakadu. The unexpected face-off happened when Scott Roscarel caught a barramundi on his fishing line.
While he was excited about his catch, he didn't expect that it would attract a four-metre crocodile.
That's not the craziest part of the story.
When Scott dropped his hat on the rock, his father showed no fear in walking right up to the crocodile to retrieve the headwear.

The clip shows the reptile getting closer to Scott and his father while chasing the bait. Even though the croc made fast attempts to get the meal, Scott continued reeling the barramundi.
After a few seconds, he managed to drag the fish onto the concrete passing. And that is when he lost his cap. His father grabbed the hat and quickly backed away from the aggressive reptile/
"I had to manhandle it. When the fish hit the edge of the crossing it jumped and the line got caught on the front of the crossing. I had that much adrenaline, I wasn't thinking too much. I realised how close the croc was and I backed up," Scott told NT News.
The incident was filmed by an onlooker.
