The two actors recently met at an event, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, and caught up with each other. Anupam and Rajinikanth even posed with each other, flashing their smiles.

In the photo, Anupam can be seen clad in a white shirt that he teamed up with a blue waistcoat and matching pants. On the other hand, Rajinikanth opted for a white kurta pyjama.
In the caption, Anupam wrote in Hindi, "There is no one like my friend @rajinikanth, neither there will be nor there was ever. Jai Ho. #AazadiKaAmritMahotsav."

Last month, Anupam suffered a minor injury when he was shooting for his upcoming film Kaagaz 2 in Lucknow. A source told ETimes, "It was an intense courtroom scene and Anupam sir was engrossed in it. He was moving around on the set while shooting it when he suddenly hit his head against a wooden structure in a corner. The makers offered to postpone the shoot, but the actor insisted on finishing his work. He requested the director to give him some time so that the pain could subside."
Recently, Rajinikanth was honoured by the Income Tax department in Chennai. Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth has teamed up with filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar for a new film titled Jailer.
Anupam Kher, on the other hand has Signature along with Mahima Chaudhry, Uunchai with Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, Sarika, Parineeti Chopra and Danny Denzongpa. He also has Ravi Teja's maiden pan-India film Tiger Nageswara Rao in his pipeline. He was last seen in The Kashmir Files.
