Sonali Bendre opens up on lesson learnt post cancer diagnosis: 'I had forgotten to be fearless'

Actress Sonali Bendra was diagnosed with cancer in the year 2018. Post that, she spent several months in New York apartment as she was going through the treatment. Now, she opened up about her battle with the deadly disease and shared the lesson she learnt from it.
Opening up about what is that one lesson that she has learnt after battling cancer for several months, she said that she had forgotten to be fearless. She further added that after being a parent, one start to turn fearful but that is one thing she and her husband Goldie Behl promised each other – to be fearless.
“I had forgotten being fearless. When you turn a parent, you start turning really fearful because you are going to look at everything as how it’s going to affect the child. Both, Goldie Behl and me had this conversation. We promised ourselves that we need to go back to being fearless again. It’s a natural process,” she told Miss Malini.
Sonali was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in 2018 and underwent treatment for the same in New York. After beating the cancer later that year, she returned to India but did not resume the work until she wanted to get back to her full fitness and energy levels before taking the plunge.

Sonali Bendra was last seen as a judge on the reality TV show, India’s Best Dramebaaz. She will soon be seen making her OTT debut with Zee5 show, The Broken News. The actress is known for her films such as Hum Saath Saath Hai, Sarfarosh, Diljale, among others.
