Katrina Kaif beats Alia Bhatt to make it to the top 100 most searched Asians on Google Mid-Year 2022 list – details inside
The mid-year list of Google's top 100 most searched Asians worldwide is out now. Many Indian celebrities made it to the Top 100 with majorly Bollywood stars ruling it. Katrina Kaif was in the No. 7 position while Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra hold the No. 8 and No.9 positions respectively.

Bollywood celebs are not just popular in India but also have a huge fan following across the world. We are often reminded of just how famous they are when we see them making it to many international celebrities’ lists and charts. The latest example of this is the mid-year list of Google's top 100 most searched Asians worldwide.
Actress Katrina Kaif has managed to beat every other Bollywood celeb to make it to the Top 10. We also have Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra in the top 10 but they hold No. 8 and No.9 positions respectively, whereas Katrina is right above them at No.7.
Not just that, the Dhoom 3 star has left her female contemporaries like Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and others, behind. Her male co-stars with whom Katrina has done multiple projects also made it to the list and are all behind her. Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Hrithik Roshan hold different positions in the Top 100.
It can be said that her marriage to actor Vicky Kaushal on December 9, 2021, was one of the top news of the year and something that made headlines for a long time. Her search was really high during that time. As for the work front, Katrina will next be seen in Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan. She also has Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa in the pipeline.

There are many Indian celebs on the list. Apart from the Bollywood actors, we also have South Indian stars including Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth, Pooja Hegde, Mahesh Babu, and others in the Top 50. Late singers Lata Mangeshkar and Sidhu Moose Wala were also in the Top 5.
The list was made based on data collected from January 1, 2022, to June 23, 2022, on Google Trends-related search subjects for all Asian celebrities. V aka Kim Taehyung, member of the global sensation boyband, BTS topped the list.
