The 19th match of the Men's Hundred competition will see the Birmingham Pheonix take on the Northern Superchargers at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham on Friday (August 19). This will be the first meeting between the two sides this season.

The Phoenix have made a brilliant start to the season having won three of their first four games so far this season. They started their campaign with back to back wins over Manchester Originals and Trent Rockets. However, their campaign suffered their first defeat with a loss to Oval Invincibles. However, they returned to winning ways with a win over London Spirits.

Liam Livingstone is their leading run-scorer with 123 runs in four games. Will Smead and Moeen Ali have also impressed with the bat. Tom Helm is the star of the bowling unit so far with six wickets to his name.

The Superchargers began their campaign with a win over Manchester Originals but since have lost three games in a row to Trent Rockets, Oval Invincibles, and London Spirit. They will look to end their losing run tonight.

With 130 runs to his name, Adam Lyth is their top-scorer in the competition so far and the only player to score more than 100 runs for them. Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo with five wickets is their leading wicket-taker with Adil Rashid a close second with four scalps to his name.
