It’s finally happening ToMoon! K-pop boy group ONEUS has dropped the first teaser image for their September comeback just a few days after confirming it.
On August 15 KST, ONEUS’ label, Rainbow Bridge World [RBW], unveiled the concept image teaser for the boy group's 8th mini album MALUS. The concept teaser image shows a white serpent wrapped around a black and dark red space with smoke-like clouds swirling inside. Additionally, the teaser image revealed that the group would be making their comeback on September 5 KST. Take a look at the teaser image here:

Fans were quick to decipher the mysterious shape. Many pointed at the shape resembling an apple or in this case a poisoned apple. Backing their theories, fans explained that although the common name apple originates from the Old English word aeppel, its scientific name is Malus. Fans have also speculated that the group may make reference to Adam and Eve in its upcoming comeback.
However, ONEUS member Xion recently changed his Bubble bio to a snake and cherry emoji, leaving fans confused. Considering their lore surrounding monarchs, monsters and moons, fans have been trying to come up with different theories.

Additionally, the boy group's signature moon logo has been replaced by the snake, indicating a change in era.

The upcoming album will mark ONEUS’ first comeback in almost four months since the release of their 7th mini album Trickster in May this year.
Meanwhile, the K-pop boy group has been busy with Hallyu Pop Fest, which took place in London and Sydney in July and August, respectively. They were selected as ambassadors for HallyuTown in Sydney, where they held traditional Korean games and quizzes for Australian fans. Aside from this, the boy group just celebrated its 3rd Japan debut anniversary on August 7 KST.
