Hina Khan on how things changed after her Cannes debut: Still slapped with 'she's a TV star' tag

Many celebrities are representing India at the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival. The list also includes Hina Khan, who is smoothly making a transition from television to Bollywood. The actress has gone to the festival for the poster launch of her upcoming Indo-English film, Country of Blind.

This is Hina's second stint at Cannes. She had made her debut in 2019. Back then, she had attended the Cannes Film Festival to unveil the poster of her film, Lines.

Recently, in an interaction with Film Companion, Hina opened up about if things changed for her after her Cannes debut. Replying to this, the diva said, "Things changed after Cannes for me, I would not deny that. Things did get a bit easier when it comes to work, when it comes to meeting people, how they look at you, how they greet you."

She went on to say that work wise, it's been different, it's been nice. The actress added, "I am welcomed and at the same time, it is tough as well to create your own place, to create your own space and sometimes you may not even be allowed to enter a certain space, so you probably have to create your own table, have talents around, create your own seat because it's very difficult from the background I come from."

"I am still slapped with this thing they always tell me - she's a television star. They never ever look at me as, some of them do, some of them still don't, they still call me she's a television star, not that she's an actor from India," Hina said. The actress also went on to share that she is happy with her journey.

Meanwhile, the stunner has been leaving one and all impressed with her red carpet looks from the festival.
