Chess Olympiad to be held in Mahabalipuram from July28-August10 | Mirror Now

As per the latest news on Mirror Now, Tamil Nadu will be holding the Chess Olympiad in July and August this year. This is the first big-ticket Chess event to be held in the country since the 2013 World Championship match between Viswanathan Anand and Magnus Carlsen. In fact, this is the first time India will be hosting the Olympiad. India had a way to host the tournament after the International Chess Federation took the Chess olympiad and all other competitions away from Russia because of the Ukraine war. The event will be held in Mahabalipuram from 28th July-10th August.
