Former Oh My Girl member Jiho is all set to embark on a new journey as she has signed a contract with a new agency post her departure from the girl group and her debut Entertainment company. Fans are looking forward to seeing what this multi-talented artist has in store for everyone.
The news regarding her signing an exclusive contract with a new agency came on August 10 when management company P& Studio confirmed, “We have signed an exclusive contract with former Oh My Girl member Jiho."
Furthermore, the statement by the agency read, "Jiho will begin her career in acting using a new promotion name, Gong Jiho. We promise to support Gong Jiho to the fullest so that she can showcase her talents to her best capacity and grow into a skilled actress.” As confirmed from the announcement, Jiho will now be starting her acting career under a new promotion name.
Meanwhile, in April of this year, Jiho made the announcement that she was leaving both her debut agency, WM Entertainment, and Oh My Girl. Later in May she also shared a handwritten letter to fans thanking them for all their support.
“I’m writing this letter as there’s news I have to share with Miracle. I spoke numerous times with our agency about the future and we concluded that moving forward, we would support each other’s paths. In the future, I will be supporting Oh My Girl’s promotions as a member of Miracle and not as a member of Oh My Girl,” she stated in her letter.
Lastly, Jiho concluded that it will be difficult to share details about her future at the moment but she will soon come back with new exciting projects. “Although I can’t yet share details about my future endeavors, I will promise you one thing. No matter what I do in the future, I will work hard and repay you with a good image. Let’s support [Oh My Girl] together in the future!”
