Ahmedabad: After promising jobs for all, AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday promised to make a law to stop paper leaks in Gujarat if elected to power. He said the AAP would make a law to punish those involved in paper leaks, and provide jobs to all youth of the state.
The chief minister said his party if elected to power will will create 10 lakh government jobs for youth. And till everyone gets a job, the unemployed would get Rs 3,000 per month. He also said that currently, jobs in the cooperative sector are given to relatives. This will be changed and recruitments will be done on a transparent base, he said.
Addressing a press conference, Kejriwal said the AAP's first promise was regarding power supply. He said the people in Gujarat were in misery as the bills were too high.
"We have made power supply free in Delhi. 25 lakh households in Punjab have just recently got zero electricity bills. Soon, a total of Punjab 51 lakh households would get just zero bills. We would also ensure a round-the-clock power supply here in Gujarat. We would also waive off the bills from the previous year," he said.
The AAP chief further said that the youths in Gujarat rue the lack of livelihoods and that his government would provide jobs to all. "In just a few years, we have provided employment to 12 lakh youths in Delhi. We would also provide employment to the unemployed here. And until that happens, the unemployed would be on the dole of Rs 3,000 rupees per month," he said.
