Ola Electric saw yet another top-level exit, making it the 32nd resignation from the company in the last two months. Yashwant Kumar, Senior Director and Business Head of Charging Network at Ola Electric Mobility has quit, reported ETAuto. Kumar’s exit comes soon after the resignation of Ranjit Kondeshan who was deputed as Director of Human Resouces (HR) at Ola Electric.
Yashwant joined Ola Electric in March 2021 and before that, he worked in the product and brand marketing division of Procter & Gamble for over 5 years.
In April this year, chief marketing officer Varun Dubey put in his papers citing “personal reasons”.
Another high-level exit was chief technology officer (CTO) Dinesh Radhakrishan’s after a brief stint with the company which started in May last year.
Earlier, Nidhi Chaturvedi quit Ola Electric as regional head in May and joined Amazon.
Arun Sirdeshmukh was the head of the used car buying and selling platform Ola Cars. Ola formally announced the shuttering its used car business Ola Cars eight months after the division started operations to focus on its burgeoning electric vehicle unit and mobility business. Ola Dash, the company’s last-mile delivery business has also been shuttered.
Ola said the infrastructure, technology and capabilities of Ola Cars will “be repurposed towards growing our Ola Electric sales and service network”.
The string of high-level exits has rocked Ola Electric at a time when the plans to go public but at a lower valuation than anticipated earlier due to sombre stock market conditions.
