Bollywood power couple Alia Bhat and Ranbir Kapoor are gearing up to embrace parenthood for the first time. The two officially tied the knot on April 14, 2022 and have now announced that they are going to become parents soon. Alia took to social media to share the happy news.
Alia shared an image on Instagram where she could be seen lying on a hospital bed with a heart emoticon over the sonogram machine as Ranbir sat beside her. In the image, an elated Alia can be seeing looking at a screen. Alia shared a second image of a lion, lioness and their cub. The Brahmastra actress captioned the image, "Our baby .... coming soon."
A number of celebrities took to the comments section soon after the image was dropped. Celebrities Priyanka Chopra,Mouni Roy, Anil Kapor, Ishaan Khatter, Tiger Shroff, Vaani Kapoor, Malaika Arora, among others were quick to comment on the image.
Bua Riddhima Kapoor Sahni too replied to the image with multiple heart-shaped and kiss emoticons. She also took to her Instagram Stories to share an image of Alia and Ranbir, writing, "My babies are having a baby. I love you both so much."
In an exclusive interaction with ETimes, Riddhima revealed what she will do with her new nephew or niece as well. Reacting to the pregnancy news, Riddhima said, " Spoiling my nephew or niece to another level.” Honestly, her reaction seems to be every bua ever!
Meanwhile, Alia’s father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has also reacted to the happy news of Alia and Ranbir expecting their baby. The Sadak 2 director told a publication that he has to prepare for the “most important role” of his life, and that is to be a grandfather.
The filmmaker also told ETimes,“Ah, my baby is going to have a baby! I am so happy for Ranbir and Alia. May our ‘tribe’ increase. And now I have to prepare for the most important role of my life: The role of a Grandfather. This is going to be a grand debut.”
