Speaking of outfits, Meera in a recent interaction opened up about struggling to source clothes for Cannes 2022.
Priyanka Chopra's cousin, who marked her Cannes debut this year, revealed that Indian brands only wanted to style Deepika Padukone or other bigger celebrities. She revealed that she was sleepless for three to four nights and was feeling anxious about her outfits.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Meera said, "When I was sourcing clothes for my festival. I had a hard time because most of the Indian designers wanted to give clothes to Deepika Padukone, or want to close a bigger celebrity."
Meera further claimed that while Cannes is essentially about talents from across the globe indulging in meaningful conversations about films, what you wear at the red carpet is also an important aspect.
"You want to put your best foot forward, and don’t want to go wrong anywhere… There is a lot of pressure. I was anxious and I could not sleep for three or four nights when I was sourcing my clothes because I had this pressure on my head," she said.
Apart from Deepika and Meera, we also spotted R Madhavan, Pooja Hegde, Tamannaah Bhatia, AR Rahman, Kamal Haasan and a couple of other talents from the Indian entertainment industry. They were at Cannes last week as part of the delegation representing India as a Country of Honour at the film festival.
