In a cheer for State Bank of India customers, the country’s largest public lender is offering a doorstep banking service for select patrons. The service was launched during the Covid-19 pandemic to customers who are senior citizens, differently-abled persons, persons with certified chronic illnesses, and the visually- impaired.
Senior Citizens over 70 years of age and differently-abled or infirm persons (having medically certified chronic illness or disability) including those who are visually impaired are eligible for the scheme. Fully KYC compliant account holders, single account holders and joint account holders with either or survivor/former or survivor are also eligible.
Customers who have a registered address within a radius of 5 Kms from the Home Branch, according to the lender. SBI on Monday tweeted about the scheme saying, “SBI at your doorstep!!! For differently abled customers, SBI is here to help with free “Door Step Banking Services" 3 times in a month.”
How to avail SBI Doorstep Banking (DSB) Services using Yono
-Open the SBI Yono App
-Go to the Services request menu
-Select Doorstep Banking Service
-Place a request for cheque pick up, cash pick up and other requests.
How to register for the service
State Bank of India customers need to register at toll numbers 1800 1037 188 or 1800 1213 721 for SBI doorstep banking.

The following Doorstep Banking Services are available at select branches w.e.f. 05.01.2018:
Cash pickup.
Cash delivery.
Cheque pickup
Cheque requisition Slip pickup.
Form 15H pickup.
Delivery of Drafts.
Delivery of Term Deposit AdviceDelivery of Term Deposit Advice.
Life Certificate Pickup.
KYC documents pickup.
Salient features of SBI doorstep banking
-Registration done at the Home Branch.
-Requests for Doorstep Banking Services should be made only at the Home Branch.
-The amount of cash withdrawal and cash deposit is restricted to Rs 20,000/-per transaction per day.
-Service charges per visit for Non-financial transactions is Rs 60/+GST and Rs 100+GST for financial transactions.
-Withdrawal will be permitted using cheque / withdrawal form with Passbook.
-The delivery would be completed on best effort basis but not later than T+1 working day (holidays excluded).
