Hate Speech Case: AltNews Co-founder Zubair Sent To Four Days Of Police Custody | Latest News

Following his arrest by Delhi Police on Monday on suspicion of inciting hatred and hurting religious sensibilities, Mohammed Zubair, the co-founder of Alt News, was sent to four days of police remand by a Delhi court on Tuesday. Zubair was being held in police custody for five days. Zubair's attorney, Vrinda Grover, claimed that the co-founder of the AltNews website was being "maliciously targeted" and that the case as a whole "borders on ridiculousness." In opposition to Zubair's defence team, the prosecution contended that Zubair ought to be placed under police remand because of his "intentional act of outraging religious emotions was on record." After a day in police custody had passed, Zubair was brought before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Snigdha Savaria.#ZubairArrested #HateSpeech #LatestNewsRead More
