IIT Bombay MTech And PhD Students Continue The Relay Hunger Strike Against The Fee Hike

It has been three days since the M. Tech and PhD students of IIT Bombay are on a relay hunger strike against the fee hike of around 35% to 45%. Seeing the strike, the authorities of IIT Bombay agreed to minor reduction of the fee rate but the students are not satisfied and are continuing their strike. Their Demand is to Rollback the fee hike completely. There are many students who have financial issues and many whose stipends are yet to come. According to the students, the administration has doubled the hostel fee, which has led to tremendous increase in their total monthly expenses. The fee hike is 'inconsiderate' and 'not in favor' for the students. On the other hand, the authorities say that it becomes difficult for them day by day to manage the operational charges of the institute. They plan to include 4 students permanently in the fee committee in future. #IITBombay #FeeHike #breaking news
