The contestants of the show too received a lot of love and fame. Indian Idol 12 winner, Pawandeep Rajan and runner-up, Arunita Kanjilal's friendship was the most talked about back then. There were rumours that they were in a relationship.
Even today, people haven't forgotten them. Pawandeep and Arunita have been doing many shows together. They have been a part of many music videos as well. Recently, they were spotted abroad. They looked happy and many once again speculated that they were in a relationship. However, Pawandeep and Arunita have never spoken about these rumours.

However, now, Pawandeep has finally opened up about these relationship rumours. He also reacted to rumours of Arunita gifting him an expensive car. In an interview with ETimes, he said, "Arunita is very young and she has a lot to learn in her life before we think of being in a relationship. We are just close friends. Also, I am not that old and I too need to focus on my career right now. I am in a relationship with my music and nothing else."
Pawandeep and Arunita are currently a part of Superstar Singer 2 as the team captains. Pawandeep said that the show is a huge responsibility and they are trying their best to make it a successful show. He is also the brand ambassador of Uttarakahand and has plans to do a lot of work for his state.
He said, "I am the brand ambassador, but I have to research well before sketching out a plan to execute for Uttarakhand. Right now, I have to chalk out a proper plan and then work for the betterment of my state."
