Meanwhile, police have detained the boy and sent him to correctional home. The victim and the accused live in the same neighbourhood.
The girl's mother has filed a complaint in this regard. The crime took place when the girl's parents left the home for work and she was alone at home. After the parents returned home from work in the evening, the girl was found bleeding profusely from her private parts, according to a report in PTI.
Police said the girl informed her parents that the boy from the neighbourhood forcefully entered the house and sexually assaulted her.
After the police were informed, they took the injured girl to a hospital. She was discharged a day later.
