UP constable's food quality complaint: 'Policeman is repeat offender, punished 15 times,' claims Firozabad police

Firozabad: The Firozabad Police in Uttar Pradesh have clarified that a probe has been ordered into the complaint made by the constable about poor quality food. The probe will be conducted by the Circle Officer (city). The video of the police constable crying in the middle of the road with a plate of food has gone viral on social media.
Meanwhile, Firozabad district police has slammed the police constable and calling him a repeat offender in terms of indiscipline, absence from work and other issues.
Firozabad police have tweeted a statement in this regard saying the constable has been punished at least 15 times in the last few years for indiscipline, absence from work.
The district police handle also tagged UP DGP, ADG Agra zone in this regard.
On Wednesday, the purported video of the incident went viral with the policeman complaining to SSP about poor quality.
"Everyone is pressurising me. No one is ready to listen to us in the police department. If the SSP had already listened to my grievance, I wouldn't come here come. I told SSP sir, please try to eat four of the five rotis so that you would come to know that your policemen are eating such a substandard food after doing 12-hours duty," said the constable identified as Manoj Kumar.
He further went on to say, "Can this food be eaten by dogs or your (SSP) Children? If humanity is alive in this nation and state (UP), then tell everyone that everyone is suppressing constables. No body is here to listen to us. I am hungry since morning. Who do I complaint to in this regard. RI (Reserve Inspector) says that I will be dismissed immediately if I tell public about it."
He also alleged that he called DGP's PSO who also threatened him with the suspension.
